Near-drowning is defined as a survival event that occurs at least 24 hours following submersion in water which caused respiratory arrest. KNOW MORE ABOUT SPLINTING
The skeletal system provides framework for the body and ensures proper body movement. It is composed of bones, joints, tendons, ligaments, and other supporting structures. When the bone is broken, some substitute must be provided to avoid further injury. Splinting is a process of immobilizing and supporting fractured or dislocated bone.
Elbow fractures are quite common in both adults and children. It does not have much protection from muscles or other soft tissues, thus, direct blow to the elbows or falls on a bent elbow can easily lead to fracture. The elbow joint consists of three bones: humerus in the upper arm and radius and ulna in the forearm.
